Locally owned and operated, Mid-Point Construction, Inc. is a custom home builder established in 1987.  The goal was to build not only quality homes, but also a quality company with a solid foundation. At Mid-Point Construction, we realize that the largest investment an individual makes is that of the American Dream- home ownership. We believe that in order for a customer to be satisfied, they must be comfortable with every decision made.  Thus, we build a limited number of homes each year, enabling us to work with our clients person to person, addressing all their wants and needs right down to the very last detail. 

James S. Mellone, Jr., the owner and founder of the company, is a State Certified General Contractor (CGC #040494) who attained a background in the construction industry long before receiving his license in 1987.  With an early start in the construction industry, Mellone first worked as a laborer while learning the trade of carpentry, a trade skill that later became useful in the design and layout of home plans.  He eventually worked his way to Superintendent for several local firms, a position that took him to overseeing the building of libraries, fire stations, schools, and hospital additions, culminating in the supervision of work at the Kennedy Space Center and the Naval Training Center in Orlando.  The end result: a well-rounded individual with an extensive background in nearly all aspects of construction. 

While we are always willing to work from a client’s plan, we also offer In-House Design, a feature that allows us to customize one of our many existing plans to design a home that is perfect for you and your budget.  We at Mid-Point Construction are at your side from start to finish, with your complete satisfaction as our main goal.
